HOW CLOSE ARE YOU TO BLACK CANYON?

We are one of the closest convenient RV parks to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park (specifically the popular South Rim area).

It's approximately 15-20 minutes by car, or roughly 10-15 miles away, depending on the exact route and traffic!

What time is check in and out?

Check in: 3pm

Check out: 11am

Early check in and late check out are sometimes available, for a fee, though we are unable to guarantee either prior to the date of arrival.

Do you offer long term RV Stays?

Yes, we offer long term RV stays although our availability changes throughout the year. Pleasefill out this form to join the wait list and we will contact you as space is available.

We also offer a Save and Stay discount! Save 20% when you book 7 or more consecutive days.

Are you dog friendly?

Yes! We love having dogs stay with us. We have no breed restrictions and we have an on-site dog park. Please pick up after your dog and keep them leashed while on site. Dogs are allowed for a one-time, non-refundable cleaning fee of $60 per dog, for up to two dogs, in nightly rented accommodations. No additional pets are allowed.

Can I bring other animals to Cedar Creek?

We love all animals, but to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, we only allow dogs and certified/recognized ADA service animals in our units.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation: We charge a $20 cancellation fee for any cancellation, regardless of reason. In addition, the $1.50 booking fee is non-refundable. Cancellations made at least 7 (seven) days prior to your arrival date are eligible for a refund of the remaining balance, minus the $20 cancellation fee and the $1.50 booking fee (total retained amount: $21.50). Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice are non-refundable, and you are responsible for the entire cost of your reservation.

The cancellation fee also applies to changes in your arrival/departure date which result in a shorter stay. No refunds are provided for late arrivals or early departures. 

Cedar Creek RV reserves the right to cancel or amend any reservation without notification should the deposit or payment dates not be met. 

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes, there is complimentary Wi-Fi across the property. 

When is the office open?

Our office is open 7 days a week 9:00am - 5:00pm during our peak summer season.

We no longer offer mini-golf at our property.

Where are you located?

We are located in Montrose, Colorado, a quick walk from downtown and a short drive to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. We are approximately 70 minutes from Grand Junction and 2 hours from Crested Butte. 

Where are the closest airports?

  1. Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) — This is by far the closest and most practical option.

    • It's located right in Montrose, about 2-3 miles from Cedar Creek RV Park (roughly 5-10 minutes drive).

    • To the park's South Rim entrance/visitors center: approximately 15-20 miles (around 30-40 minutes drive).

    • It offers commercial flights from major carriers like Delta, United, American, Southwest (seasonal), and others, with direct service from hubs like Denver, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Chicago, Atlanta, and more (especially expanded in winter for ski season, but year-round options available).

  2. Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT) — The next nearest regional alternative.

    • About 55-65 miles west of Montrose/Cedar Creek RV Park (around 1-1.5 hours drive).

    • More flight options in some cases, but less convenient than MTJ for this specific area.

  3. Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) — Another regional option to the east.

    • Roughly 60-70 miles from Montrose (about 1.5 hours drive), and around 70-80 miles to the park.

    • Primarily serves the Crested Butte/Gunnison area with seasonal flights (e.g., United from Denver).

For farther options with more extensive connections (if MTJ flights don't work):

  • Denver International Airport (DEN) — The nearest major international hub, about 300+ miles away (5-6+ hours drive).

  • Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) — Around 270-300 miles west (similar long drive).

Do you provide bedding?

All of our accommodations include bed linens. Tiny Houses also include bath and kitchen towels. Refresh cleanings are available upon request and must be requested by the day before you want service, before the office closes. The cost is $15 per service, requests can be made at the front desk, by phone, or by email.

How far are you from Denver?

We are a 4 hour and 50 minute drive from Denver, although we recommend you check traffic conditions for a more accurate estimate.
